Having too many of them is certainly better than your world being bare and dry because you were afraid to use some details.
3. Create a history for your world. Creating history for your world is very important. Your readers will want to know a little about how your world came to be, instead of just taking it for granted. Before you start writing, then, come up with a timeline, and mention it in the story. This will make your fantasy world so much more believable and real.
